Board of ISDA Selects New Lead Figurehead

Amy Hong has been appointed as the new Chair of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), effective immediately. She takes over from Jeroen Krens, who stepped down following his departure from HSBC in accordance with ISDA’s bylaws.

Hong, who has been with Goldman Sachs since 2006, served as Head of Strategy, Investments, and Partnerships in the Global Banking & Markets division before her election as ISDA Chair. In her new role, she will lead the association’s board and oversee its strategic direction.

At Goldman Sachs, Hong's responsibilities included leading strategic initiatives focused on market structure, systemic and operational risks, and industry digitization. She joined the ISDA board in June 2025, shortly before her election as Chair.

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association is a global trade association, with over 1,000 member institutions from 76 countries. Its members represent a broad range of derivatives market participants, including corporations, investment managers, government and supranational entities, insurance companies, energy and commodities firms, international and regional banks, exchanges, intermediaries, clearing houses and repositories, law firms, accounting firms, and other service providers.

Hong expressed her excitement about her new role, particularly during ISDA’s 40th anniversary year and at an important time for the derivatives market. She looks forward to guiding the association’s efforts in the swaps and derivatives markets globally.

Scott O’Malia, ISDA’s Chief Executive, expressed appreciation for Jeroen Krens’ contributions and welcomed Hong to her new role. For press queries, you can contact Nick Sawyer, Christopher Faimali, or Nikki Lu at the contact details provided below.
