AEI First U.S. Company to Achieve ISO 17025 for Battery Recycling
Austin Elements Inc. (AEI), a U.S. leader in battery recycling, has made a significant stride. It has become the first American company to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation for analytical testing of battery-grade materials, including black mass, lithium carbonate, iron phosphate, and metal sulfates.
AEI's Vice President of Quality and Assurance, Bhavin Rena, hailed this achievement as a new benchmark for critical mineral production in the U.S. The company's proprietary analytical processes, based on first principles, ensure precision, consistency, and reliability in the lithium-ion battery industry.
AEI is now scaling up production of high-purity lithium carbonate, iron phosphate, and other critical minerals. This move aims to fortify domestic supply chains and support national electrification goals. By recycling battery materials, AEI is closing the loop on critical minerals, reducing dependence on foreign supply chains, and promoting sustainability.
With this ISO 17025 certification, AEI guarantees the quality and reliability of its products derived from recycled batteries. This accreditation instills confidence in customers and partners, further cementing AEI's position as a trailblazer in the U.S. battery recycling industry.
