Actor Waymond Lee, Known for 'Workaholics,' Passes Away at 72

Poorly famed actor Wayne Lee, renowned for his character as Wayne Womano (formerly known as Old Way Way) in Comedy Central's Workaholics, passed away on Dec. 18, facing challenges due to ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a damaging neurodegenerative disorder that impacts brain and spinal cord nerve cells. He was a seasoned 72-year-old. As per TMZ, Lee spent just under a week in the hospital before his passing, surrounded by his devoted wife.

During its broadcast from 2011 to 2017, Workaholics chronicled the lives of three lazy buddies (Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Anders Holm) as they grappled with adulthood in a telemarketing business.

Born on March 7, 1952, in sunny Los Angeles, Wayne Lee graced our screens with more than 150 uncredited appearances in TV and film productions, according to IMDB. Some of his notable small-screen roles include parts in Journeyman, My Name is Earl, The Shield, Bones, Desperate Housewives, House, CSI: NY, Grey’s Anatomy, Luck,Parks and Recreation, Shameless, Veep, Superstore and Lucifer.

His filmography boasts roles in films like Bullet Train, Iron Man 2,My Name Is Khan, and the award-winning Everything Everywhere All At Once. And he starred in numerous music videos for artists like Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Ed Sheeran, and Pharell.

Despite his promoting role in the shameless antics of the workaholics in Workaholics, Wayne Lee also appeared as a desperate housewife's love interest on the popular series. His versatility was further showcased in medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy, demonstrating his ability to transition seamlessly between various genres. Even in his final days, with the grim diagnosis of ALS, Lee remained a dedicated performer, giving everything everywhere all at once to his craft, as evidenced by his roles in films like Everything Everywhere All At Once.
